The new Series 3 has a breakthrough shaving head to give you incredibly smooth skin. The Triple Action Free Float System consists of three independently floating shaving elements that provide unprecedented effectiveness in shaving.
The smoothly floating foils offer great comfort during the shave and the 3 independently floating heads shave both short and long hairs in fewer passes, for maximum comfort.
New Braun Series 3 also features a better ergonomic design. Its shape adapts easily to the user's hand, while the increased usage of soft material delivers a very comfortable grip and enhances control of the shaver.
Shavers.com info on this shaver: Initial testing on this shaver was mixed at first, but after some revisions by Braun it turns out that even though the shaver is a series 3 (and by definition, a little on the "no frills" side of things), the wet-dry aspect makes this a nice machine to have either day to day or especially for travel. As a matter of fact, a lot of feedback on the current production of this shaver was from travel usage. the rinse and go aspect makes it easy to maintain and for those gents with sensitive skin issues, the ability to shave in the shower with a little foam, gel or Menscience Advanced Shave Formula (and we emphasize "a little") is an added plus.
So while it doesn't have the advanced technology of the series 5 or series 7 Braun shavers, the series 3-340 is still a nice, economical shaver that will get the job done on light to normal beards or for those with sensitive skin issues.
